Professional Science Master's Innitiative - State of Florida
A STEM program that translates science to business. The Professional Science Masters (PSM) is a new kind of degree that prepares graduates for work in acive science, combines technical competencies with workforce skills, and leads to careers outside of academia. This two-year degree includes four key elements: 1) industry advisory board; 2) in-depth study in a science driven field; 3) industry internship; and 4) professional development courses intended to emphasize written and oral communication, leadership, business, and team-building skills. The State of Florida offers 27 PSM programs at 11 universities.
